Western Piedmont Community College offers occupational training and certification classes from time to time during the year. All classes will be offered at the Foothills Higher Education Center, 2128 S Sterling Street in Morganton, NC.

Green Industry Career Training Certification – Current Class in Progress

Western Piedmont Community College is pleased to present the first Green Industry Career Training Certification Course. This course includes a combination of Wednesday evening class work from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and every other Saturday morning 8:00 am – 12:00 pm field/lab work totaling 61 hours of career training for jobs in Green Industry sector; Greenhouses, Nurseries, and Landscape operations. The Human Resources Development Program is structured to help unemployed and underemployed adults with training gain job skills and basic computer skills. Classes are scheduled both on and off the WPCC campus.
HRD classes fees may be waived if students meet the following criteria: unemployed, notification of impending layoff, working and eligible for the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or working and earn at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Independent Auto Dealer Renewal
Western Piedmont Community College is pleased to present the Independent Auto Dealer License Renewal Course. This course meets the six-hour continuing education requirement for your license renewal as ordered for Independent Auto Dealers by House Bill 432. Study will include topics such as Salesman License/Registration, Bill of Sale, Warranties, Repossessed Vehicles, Tag Requirements and other State required information.
