Creating Success in Community Colleges

In 2008, the North Carolina Community College System President, Dr. Scott Ralls, with the collective work of local trustees, community college presidents, the state board of community colleges and the system office, developed a new approach to legislative funding. The 'Creating Success' campaign will generate legislative interest in higher education as well as promote economic growth and engage local business champions, student governments and faculty associations. 

There are many success stories and accomplished individuals whose dreams were made possible by a community college education. This foundation gave them hope, opportunity and jobs. Each of the fifty community colleges in North Carolina submitted success stories of former students who have aspired to reach their full potential and are the faces of the 'Creating Success' campaign. The profiles on the left describe some of these success stories.
