The Human Services Technology Curriculum prepares graduates to
fulfill a wide range of consumer needs in a
variety of human services settings, in order to
enable people to live a more satisfying, more
autonomous, and more productive life.
This profession is charged with the
responsbility to close the gap between
traditional services systems and the needs of
the person, and make society more whole in the
process.
The goals of this program are to prepare
individuals: For a
career in the human services professions, to
effectively match consumer needs with
available community resources; to increase
the capacity for self-awareness and personal
growth; to develop a thoughtful, genuine, and
empathic attitude toward human beings; to
implement knowledge, skills, and attitudes
necessary to help people help themselves
Graduates should find job prospects as:
Care Worker,
Youth Worker, Social Worker Assistant,
Rehabilitation Case Worker, Community Worker,
Community Outreach, Family Support Worker, Adult
Day Care Worker, Juvenile Court Liaison, Group
Home Worker, Intake Interviewer, Programs
Serving the Elderly, Mentally Impaired, or
