The Environmental Science Technology curriculum
is designed to prepare individuals for
employment in a wide variety of environmental
occupations. Increased awareness of the
interconnection between human health and the
health of our environment has generated many
employment opportunities in this field. Major
emphasis is placed on biological and chemical
valuation of human impact on the environment.
Students will study problems involving
environmental testing/consulting and related
industries.
Coursework includes general education, computer
skills, biology, chemistry, industrial safety,
environmental science and an extensive array of
detailed environmentally specific classes, such
as air and water quality and land resource
management.
Graduates should gain the knowledge and
practical skills necessary to qualify for
employment or advancement in numerous positions
within local, state and federal governments,
industry and private companies. |
